The Little Details
I also enjoy spending my time on the little details. Here’s a little sneak peak.
My dotfiles are a good example of that. They started as a way to manage my development environment and gradually became something I genuinely enjoy maintaining, here’s a little sneak peak.
And that eventually led me to NixOS, where I manage my system declaratively.
You can find my nixos configuration here. I was on cloud nine when I found that I can integrate my dotfiles directly through nix.
Looking back, it might’ve been the time why I came to love with programming!
A Few other things
As for the rest of my time, I enjoy cooking, playing table tennis, swimming on weekends, working out, and being lazy occasionally (definitely more than occasionally).
Also I read books. I’ve started keeping track of books I’ve read, so I can look back and see how that compounds over time!
And if you ever wondered about the name Root Daemon:
- A daemon is a process that runs in the quietly in the background.
- While root refers to the Super User ie., the most privileged user on a Unix system.
Hence The Root Daemon, something with a lot of importance running quietly in the background.
