The Psychology of Money

This one was really addictive. I found myself wanting to read the life stories of people who perceive money in different ways.

Here are some quotes, rather little phrases that just stuck with me:

• No one’s crazy.
• Nothing is as good or as bad as it seems.
• Progress happens too slowly, but setbacks happen too quickly to ignore.
• Spending money to show people how much money you have is the fastest way to have less money.
• Things that have never happened before happen all the time.
• Doing well with money has a little to do with how smart you are and a lot to do with how you behave.

Of all of them, Nothing is as good or as bad as it seems really stuck with me. It just hit me on the spot.

Uhmm, as for the part where they talked about the hedge funds, dividends ie., the financial jargons, well, I was too dumb to perceive that :)

And finally, I read this really nice book which my colleague was kind enough to lend me. What a steal!
